Our aim is that every child at Childeric makes good or outstanding progress and attainment is at least in line with national attainment.  Our pupil premium funding is used to support specific groups of pupils who are vulnerable to underachievement.  These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals, those looked after by the local authority and the children of armed service personnel.  The funding helps us to ensure that these pupils attain as highly as other groups of children.

Schools are given pupil premium funding of £1,345 per pupil to be spent on educational provision within the school.

The PE and Sport Premium must be used to improve the provision of PE and sport so that pupils develop their skills and lead a healthy lifestyle.

Allocations for the academic year are calculated using the number of pupils in Years 1 to 6 as recorded on the January census.  Schools with 17 or more pupils receive £16,000 plus £10 per pupil.
